About John Favara

John Favara began his storytelling journey as an illustrator, drawing characters and comic strips. He attended the Minneapolis College of Art & Design, then turned to story and screenwriting and graduated with a Film degree. After a painful life event, he went back to school and earned a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary. He lives in Colorado with his wife and two children, where he specializes in working with individuals who suffer from complex trauma — and where, for twenty years, he has been building the world of Evelest.
